Radu Pop, PhD

Dr. Pop is a licensed psychologist (Texas #37071) and founding Director of Insight & Change. In this role, he works with adolescents and adults with depression and anxiety, as well as individuals with chronic medical conditions. He received his doctoral degree from the APA accredited Clinical Psychology Graduate Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Pop holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and a master’s degree in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is licensed to practice psychology and has specialized experience in pediatrics and Health Psychology. His focus on the treatment of depression and anxiety disorders stem from his clinical experience and training. His prior work includes psychological services for children, adolescents, and adults dealing with various medical and mental health needs at Children’s Health and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Pop’s experience continues to inform his work with diverse clientele. When necessary, he works as part of your care team, communicating closely with physicians and other medical professionals.

Dr. Pop has extensive training and years of experience in the delivery of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based practice modality. Dr. Pop also mentors and supervises psychology students who are in training to earn their doctorate degree in clinical psychology.
